WARDENS ASSOCIATION MEETING
JANUARY 15, 2003
Nitram Lodge No. 188 F.& A.M.
Dinner 7:00 p.m. Meeting at 8:00 p.m.

President C.D.
Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Brother Roy Eden, Chaplain
of Nitram Lodge gave the invocation followed with the Pledge of Allegiance to
the Flag. President C.D.
Kennedy then proceeded with the regular order of business. All members and
guests were welcomed and the W.M. of Nitram Lodge was thanked for providing
the meeting place and dinner. The kitchen help, who prepared our fine meal, were
then introduced. It was
regularly moved, seconded and passed that the previous meeting minutes be
accepted as printed and distributed. Our ending
balance from the previous meeting was $5,902.10. The current ending balance
is $3,888.40 with $596.93 reserved for our Scholarship Fund. It was regularly
moved, seconded and passed that the treasurer's report be accepted as read. Roll call was
then taken with 9 Lodges represented and 32 Brethren present:
Old
business: The Hot Gavel
is at Elmer 0. Smith Lodge. The Traveling Gavel is at Tampa

McMillan, Secretary, read a thank you letter from M:.W:.James
A. Durham thanking this Association for the $1,100 contribution to
the Treat Fund at the Masonic Home. Installation of
Officers for the ensuing year was then held with W:. Ralph Vaughn,
Installing Officer; R:.W:.Jack Stabler, Installing Marshall; and R:.W:.Mike
Beijar, Installing Chaplain. The following were installed in their
respective positions: President - W:. Rick

business: President
Hoover appointed the following to serve on the Audit Committee: W:.Tony Rhoades,
Chairman and R:.W:.Paul
Stellrecht. A motion was
regularly made, seconded and passed that this Association's Scolarship amount
will be $500 this year and a plaque given to the recipient not to exceed $25.
President
Hoover then appointed the following to serve on the Scholarship
Committee: W:.Tim
Bryce, Chairman; W:.Frank Verderame; and Brother Mark
Birenbaum. It was then
decided that the remainder of this year's meetings will be held as follows: March 19, 2003 - Clearwater Lodge Introductions
were then made: W:.Tony Rhoades, District Instructor for District 20; W:.
Rick Hoover, District Iinstructor for District 21. Newly installed
Worshipful Masters were then introduced: W:.Franz
Rothschadl - East Gate Lodge; Two candidates
for Junior Grand Warden were present: R:.W:.Dan
Dale and R:.W:.Robert Trump. After a brief
speech, both candidates answered a variety of questions from the members
present. W:. Ralph Vaughn
was presented a framed certificate of appreciation for his years of service
to this Association as Treasurer. The next
Masters & Wardens Meeting will be held at Clearwater Lodge on March 19, 2003. Benediction was
given by R:.W:.Jack
Stabler. The meeting

Hoover called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. R:.W:.Jack
Stabler, PDDGM gave the invocation followed with the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag. President
Hoover then proceeded with the regular order of business. All members and
guests were welcomed and the W.M. of Clearwater Lodge was thanked for
providing the meeting place and dinner. The kitchen help, who prepared our
fine meal, were then introduced. It was
regularly moved, seconded and passed that the previous meeting minutes be
accepted as printed and distributed. Our ending
balance from the previous meeting was $3,888.40. The current ending balance
is $4,229.98 with $606.93 reserved for our Scholarship Fund. It was reported
that the following Lodges had not yet paid the $55.00, 2002 Bay Pines
Christmas Donation: Roll call was
then taken with 10 Lodges represented and 27 Brethren present:

Hoover read the report of the Audit Committee consisting of R:.W:.Paul
Stellrecht, DDGM/21 and W:.Tony Rhoades, DI/20. The Audit
Committee found all records in order and thanked our Treasurer for the
excellent manner in which the financial records were kept. W:.Tim
Bryce, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee reported they had
received 40 applications for our Scholarship, with the deadline being April
11, 2003. Since the acadmic year is ending earlier this year, a motion was
regularly made, seconded and passed that the Scholarship Committee have the
latitude and the authority to make the selection of the Scholarship recipient
and make the presentation, since the school year will be over prior to our
next meeting. W:. Tim Bryce mentioned that the Trap Shoot will be held
on April 12, 2003 with the proceeds to benefit our Scholarship Fund. W:. Sam
Lampson announced that our annual golf tournament will be held at
East Bay Golf Course on October 11, 2003 beginning at 1:30pm. The awards
banquet will be held at the East Bay Club House following the tournament. The
cost is $65 per person, which includes the banquet. Hole sponsorships are
available for $25.00. R:.W:.Ronald
McMillan announced this Association's bylaws had been approved by M:.W:.James
A. Durham, Grand Master, on February 7, 2003. These bylaw changes
take effect immediately. New
business: A lengthy
discussion was held concerning that this Association hold an Officers
Workshop for both Districts 20 & 21, similar to what is held by Grand
Lodge. A committee was formed to look into this feasibility of this
Association sponsoring such a workshop. The committee consists of R:.W:.Paul
Stellrecht, DDGM/21, R:.W:. Jerry Lee, DDGM/20, W:.Tim
Bryce, and W:. RIck Hoover, DI/21. They will report
back at our next meeting. A motion was
regularly made, seconded and passed that this Association, inconjunction with
the Order of the Eastern Star sponsor the annual Christmas Party for the
Masonic Home Employees and their families. R:.W:. David Neveitt, PDDGM/21 was
appointed Chairman of this event. Introductions

Hoover called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. R:.W:.Tom
Cox, PDDGM gave the blessing prior to the meal and Brother Art
Markowitz gave the invocation followed with the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag. President Rick
Hoover then proceeded with the regular order of business. All members and
guests were welcomed and the W.M. of Gulf Beach Lodge was thanked for
providing the meeting place and dinner. The kitchen help, who prepared our
fine meal, were then introduced. It was
regularly moved, seconded and passed that the previous meeting minutes be
accepted as printed and distributed. Our ending
balance from the previous meeting was $4,229.98. The current ending balance
is $4,341.70 with $606.93 reserved for our Scholarship Fund. It was regularly
moved, seconded and passed that the treasurer's report be accepted as read. Roll call was
then taken with 8 Lodges represented and 19 Brethren present:

Bryce, Scholarship Committee Chairman announced that this
Association's Scholarship will be awarded to Nicole Guevara. Masonic Adventures, Inc. presented a $200 check
to this Association from its trap shoot, to be deposited in our scholarship
fund. R:.W:.Sam
Lampson announced that the plans for our annual golf tournament
are progressing and will be held at East Bay Golf Course on October 11, 2003.
There was a lengthy discussion held on how the proceeds from our golf
tournament should be spent. The discussion was tabled. New
business: A motion was
regularly made, seconded and passed that this Association advances the new
DDGM's $2,500.00 for the Grand Master's Official Visit, to be held at the
Masonic Home on Friday, July 18, 2003 with dinner at 6:00pm and the tiled
meeting at 7:30pm. Introductions
were then made. The next
Masters & Wardens Meeting will be held at Sutherland Lodge on July 16, 2003. These minutes
were taken by W:.Ralph
Vaughan in the absence of our Secretary. Benediction was
given by Bro.
Art Markowitz, Secretary of Elmer 0. Smith Lodge. The meeting

guests were welcomed and the W.M. of Sutherland Lodge was thanked for
providing the meeting place and dinner. The kitchen help, who prepared our
fine meal, were then introduced. It was
regularly moved, seconded and passed that the previous meeting minutes be
accepted as printed and distributed. Our ending
balance from the previous meeting was $4,341.70. The current ending balance
is $4,208.02 with $806.93 reserved for our Scholarship Fund. It was regularly
moved, seconded and passed that the treasurer's report be accepted as read. The treasurer
then read a list of the Lodges who had not yet paid the $55.00 for the 2002
Bay Pines Christmas Party. They are as follows: East Gate; Gulf Beach; Northside; and St.
Petersburg Lodge. Roll call was
then taken with 11 Lodges represented and 32 Brethren present:

Lampson reported on the annual golf tournament, which will be held
on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at East Bay Golf Club; 702 Country Club Drive,
Largo. Registration will begin at 12:00pm, a putting contest will be held at
12:30pm, the shotgun start time will be 1:30pm with the banquet to follow at
the East Bay Country Club. Cost will be $65.00 per person. Hole sponsorships

Bryce reported that the tentative date for the Officers Workshop
will be Saturday, September 27, 2003 from 12:00pm until 9:00pm at Clearwater
Lodge. Dinner will be provided. W:.Bryce will be sending information
to the Lodges of this Association. A thank you
letter was read from this Association's Scholarship Fund Recipient (by W:.Bryce).
New
business: It was
announced that the Grand Master's Official Visit to the 20th and 21st Masonic
Districts will be held this Friday, July 18, 2003 at the Masonic Home. A motion was
regularly made, seconded and passed that W:.Tim Bryce tentatively
schedule a softball tournament where the 20th and 21st Masonic Districts will
challenge the 22nd and 23rd Masonic Districts to be held at a future date in
the fall. The proceeds from this event will go to the Masonic Home of Florida
Building Fund. Introductions

Lampson reported on the Golf Tournament and turned into the
Treasurer $650.00 in Entry Fees and $1,705.00 in Hole Sponsor checks. W:.Tim
Bryce announced that there did not seem to be too much interest in
the Officer's Workshop to be held on October 27, 2003 as only two Lodges had
responded. He will contact each of the remaining twelve Lodges and see if
there is any interest , otherwise it will be cancelled. W:.Bryce
also announced that Districts 22 and 23 had declined our challenge for a
softball tournament. R:.W:.David
Neveitt announced that the Masonic Home Employee Christmas Party
will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2003 beginning at 5:00pm. This
Christmas Party is being co-sponsored with The Order of the Eastern Star.
Much help is needed to make this party a success. A motion was regularly
made, seconded and passed that $1,000 of the proceeds from this Association's
Golf Tournament be used to help pay for this Christmas Party. A Report was
given by R:.W:.Sam
Lampson and R:.W:.Rick Hoover on the Grand
Master's Official Visit to the 20th and 21st Masonic Districts. There was
approximately 280 to 290 in attendance plus 25 residents from the Masonic Home. An excellent evening of fellowship
was had by all who attended. New
Business: President R:.W:.Rick
Hoover announced that the election of Officers of this Association
for the ensuing year will be held at the next Masters & Wardens Meeting. R:.W:.Ron
McMillan read a letter from Red Russell, the Masonic Service
Representative to Introductions
were then made: District Instructor of the 20th District, R:.W:.Ed
Phero, R:.W:.Sam
Lampson, DDGM of District 20 and R:.W:.Rick
Hoover, DDGM of District 21. R:.W:.Robert Harry, State Chairman
of Public Relations and Publicity and candidate for Junior Grand Warden was
then introduced and gave a brief talk on his Masonic history and goals. The
next Masters & Wardens Meeting will be held at Tampa
Bay Lodge on November 19, 2003. This will be election of officers
for the ensuing year. Benediction was
given by R:.W:.Jack
