Month: April 2021

This upcoming Sunday, May 2nd, at 8:30 AM will be our next breakfast at Gulf Beach Lodge!  This breakfast will be a little different from March as many of Brethren will be representing Gulf Beach Lodge at District 18’s volunteer tent at the VALSPAR Championship!

The breakfast will still be drive-up as before, and the menu will be a little more limited and based on the amount of help in the kitchen.  At the moment we have planned waffles/pancakes, eggs, grits, fruit, and OJ.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out, and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

We’ll be joining the Trash Pirates of Madeira Beach in their ongoing effort to rid our beautiful beaches of trash!  We’ll be meeting at Gulf Beach Lodge at 10:00 AM and then departing to one of our popular locations from there.  We commonly cover 140th Ave/Marguerite Drive, Madeira Beach, and the Tom Stuart Causeway.  The more in attendance, the wider the area we can cover!

We will be providing latex gloves, trash bags, and grabbers before we depart the Lodge.  With your help, we can support the community in this significant effort, keeping our beaches clean and wildlife safe for years to come.

Join us for a night of family fun!  We’ll be starting at 7:00 PM with a variety of games and activities, including a VR (virtual reality) demonstration upstairs.  Light refreshments such as chip, cookies, and soda will be available, and all members, family, and friends are invited to attend.

Attire is casual, and we are very much looking forward to seeing everyone again after all this time!

“Congratulation Brother Lukas Vanagaitis!

This past Thursday, twenty-nine members and visitors of Gulf Beach Lodge gathered to Raise Brother Vanagaitis to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.

The lecture was delivered by R∴W∴ Ray Vance, visiting from Pearl of the West Lodge No. 146 in New Port Richey, and the charge by our very own Worshipful Master Mark Sawa-Szostak.

Thank you to all who attended this special evening!”

Sixteen members and visitors attended last night’s business meeting at Gulf Beach Lodge  Here is what was accomplished.

• Br∴ Lukas Vanagaitas returned his fellow craft catechism led by W∴ David Neville.
• Br∴ Steve Johnson reported that the Lodge clean-up day was a success and that small electrical issues are being addressed.
• W∴ Oscar Salazar reported that the property clean up at one of our elderly members home went well and that there will be a follow up in the near future.
• The craft donated $100.00 to the Tampa Shriners Hospital.
• W∴ Mark Sawa-Szostak present proposed legislation for the upcoming Grand Lodge Communication at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando at the end of May.

Please join us next Thursday April 22nd for a Master Mason Degree for Brother Lukas Vanagaitas.

This Saturday, April 10th, we will be gathering a group of brothers at Lodge at 10:00 AM to head over to one of our brothers homes to help him with a property clean-up. This brother is 84 years old and not in any physical nor financial condition to be able to handle this himself. Charity begins at home…and this is a brother in need. Please arrive at Lodge a little early. The point of contact for any questions is W∴ Oscar Salazar at 727-421-8823.

Thank you in advance for helping a brother in need.

We congratulate and welcome Brother Brian Marshall as our newest Master Mason at Gulf Beach Lodge. Thirty-nine members and visitors, including our current D∴D∴G∴M∴ Mike Rhoades, enjoyed a wonderful evening of Masonry.

The Lecture was delivered very eloquently by honorary member, R∴W∴ Bill Sundquist, and the Charge and Bible presentation were delivered by W∴ Mark Sawa-Szostak.

Meet at the lodge at 10:00 am. We’ll head out to the beach from there.
