Thursday, May 26, 2022: Empty Chair Ceremony

Tonight we will be performing the Empty Chair Ceremony to honor those who have served in the armed forces, and first responders.  As this will not be a tiled meeting, all may attend, including friends and family.  If you have a piece of uniform or gear that you would like to share to honor a service member, please bring it with you.

A meal will be offered at 6:30 PM, with the ceremony to start at 7:30 PM.

Thursday, May 19, 2022: Stated Meeting

W∴ Paul King receiving his 60-year service award from W∴ M∴ Stephen Johnson

We had a wonderful evening of Fellowship last night at Gulf Beach Lodge and were able to present a 60-year service award to our most senior Past Master, W∴ Paul King, who was Master in 1966. Here is what we accomplished.

  • Gulf Beach Chapter No. 241 OES prepared a wonderful lasagna meal
  • The craft donated $150.00 to the American Cancer Society
  • It was announced that our Webmaster of 13 years, Br∴ Robert Graziani, will be retiring from this position.
  • It was announced that W∴ Steve Johnson will be handling the back end of the website and R∴W∴ Howard Knapp will handle the content.
  • W∴ Paul King was presented his 60-year certificate and pin
  • The craft approved the purchase of two. new signs for Gulf Blvd.
  • R∴W∴ Jim Charrette, DDGM, thanked the members for a wonderful year.

Thursday, May 12, 2022: Ask a Mason Night

Gulf Beach Lodge hosted an Ask A Mason night last night which was organized by District 18 membership development chairman, Tim Delaney. 25 were in attendance (including our current DDGM, Jim Charrette) and enjoyed an evening which began with pizza provided by our Junior Warden, Bobby Burkett. The guest speaker for the evening was Howard Knapp PDDGM. It was a great evening, well received by all.
