There will not be any tiled lodge meetings during the summer break. There may be other events, which will be announced in this space with details on the calendar.

Keep Pinellas Beautiful Clean-up

Members of Gulf Beach Lodge were out on Duhme Road, our adopted roadway today; taking part in the Keep Pinellas Beautiful cleanup project. We collected over forty pounds of trash from the roadside.

Watch for our next cleanup in the Fall.

Lodge Brothers Fellowship Luncheon

Today’s Fellowship Luncheon was a great success! Twenty-eight members and family attended today’s Luncheon held at Gulf Beach Lodge. R∴W∴ Howard Knapp put on a power point presentation about the 2009 Remodeling of the upstairs Lodge room. The next Fellowship Luncheon will be held in the Fall and there will be a presentation covering the 2010 remodel of the downstairs hall. Date and time TBA.

Northside Masonic Lodge July 11, 2022

Brother Marshal Wood from Gulf Beach Lodge presented the District 18 Unity Gavel to the District’s newest Master Mason, Argyle Neal, from Northside Lodge. Seven brothers from Gulf Beach Lodge were in attendance: Brothers Bobby Burkett; Buck Owens; Brian Marshall; Jim Tizzano; David Gregory; Marshal Wood; and Howard Knapp. Brother Burkett gave the lecture.

Thursday, June 30, 2022: Master Mason Degree

Gulf Beach Lodge welcomes our newest master mason, Brother David J. Marrs, who was raised by the past masters of Gulf Beach Lodge. Prior to the degree, thirty-eight brothers enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by our junior warden, Brother Bobby Burkett.

There were twenty-three past masters in attendance, of which fifteen were masters of our lodge. Also present were four past district deputy grand masters.

The lecture was delivered by R∴W∴ Howard Knapp and the charge by W∴ Mark Sawa-Szostak.

Gulf Beach Lodge will be dark for July and August. We wish you a safe summer and look forward to seeing you in September.

Thursday, June 23, 2022: Master Mason Degree

Gulf Beach Lodge welcomes our newest Master Mason, Brother Marshal D. Wood. The brothers enjoyed a wonderful Italian meal prior to the degree prepared by our Junior Warden, Bobby Burkett. The degree was excellently conferred by the officers of the Lodge. A number of officers performed new parts for the first time in the second section, and did an outstanding job! The Lecture was delivered by R∴W∴ Howard Knapp and the Charge by W∴ Mark Sawa-Szostak.

June 16, 2022: DDGM’s Official Visit

District Deputy Grand Master, Sean Newton, with nine of his District Committeemen and the District Instructor, Joe Griffith, made their official visit to Gulf Beach Lodge tonight. Following a wonderful dinner prepared by Gulf Beach Chapter No. 241 O.E.S., the members and visitors retired upstairs for the tiled meeting.

The brothers donated $200.00 to the Grand Master’s Charity and over $200 for the Masonic Home Endowment Fund.
Two petitions were read for the Three Symbolic Degrees and another for Dual Membership.

The District 18 Chairman of Masonic Education, R∴W∴ Rick Wendling, presented our past master, W∴ Mark Sawa-Szostak, a Grand Lodge Masonic Education Certificate for our Lodge having met the Grand Lodge masonic education requirements during 2021.

Thursday, June 9, 2022: AED machine training

We’ll be having a pizza dinner at 6:30 pm.  At 7:30, Bro∴ Dominic Bueller of the Madeira Beach Fire Department will be presenting education on our AED machine, its use, care, etc.  This will not be a tiled meeting so masons of all degrees can attend since the more who know how to use the device, the better.
