At this time most forecasts are predicting Hurricane Ian to pass close enough to cause major issues, including flooding, with potential for evacuations. for our area.
 
Ensuring the safety of all of our families is our top priority, and so I’m POSTPONING our Oktoberfest fundraiser until October 13th (6:30 – 8:30 PM).

Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge, recently took part in the Pinellas County Adopt a Teacher/Class program by adopting Ms. Heather McShane at Starkey Elementary School. For a donation of $150.00 an individual or business can adopt a classroom or teacher which will assist them in procuring educational items for their students. Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge encourages individuals, organizations and businesses to consider taking part in this worthy program and help our public school teachers accomplish their goals. Nestled in a quiet Seminole neighborhood, Starkey Elementary has been a fixture of the community since 1960. Over the past several decades, they have created many special traditions while embracing innovative learning opportunities. They have a reputation for strong partnerships with families and community members. They are focused on academic achievement and character development in a safe environment. Proud home of the Starkey Bears, their mascot represents strength, determination and confidence. They serve about 700 students from PreK through grade 5. Their students and staff are dedicated to the S.T.A.R. expectations of Safety, Teamwork, Attitude, and Responsibility.

Gulf Beach Lodge welcomes our newest Entered Apprentice, Brother Stanley Silverstein, who was Initiated last night at Gulf Beach Lodge. Brothers enjoyed a wonderful meal prior to the degree prepared by our Junior Warden, Bobby Burkett.

The Lecture was delivered by R∴W∴ Derryl O’Neal and the Charge by W∴ Mark Sawa-Szostak.

 At the start of this year, our PR team got together to discuss an idea. We wanted to create a video introduction to Gulf Beach Lodge so that those interested in joining, or new Brothers who are interested in visiting from another area, can learn more about us and hopefully feel more at home. Over the summer we made this happen. R∴W∴ Howard Knapp spearheaded the script and history, I provided the narration, and Br∴ Brian Ellis performed the filming (both drone and ground) and editing.  Please feel free to share it with everyone!

Members of Gulf Beach Lodge take part in Madeira Beach Trash Pirate’s cleanup on September 3, 2022. Keeping our community beautiful.

It is great to be back at Lodge after being dark for the summer. A great time was had by the 30 members present.

• Gulf Beach Chapter No. 241 OES prepared a wonderful meal
• The craft donated $150.00 to the St. Petersburg Boley Center
• Brothers David Marrs and Marshal Wood returned their Master Mason Catechisms
• Brother Marrs and Wood received their Lambskin Aprons from R∴W∴ Howard Knapp
• Brother Marshal Wood was presented his Perpetual Membership certificate and pin
• W∴ Don Harriott was presented a handcrafted wooden American Flag, made by W∴ David Neville on behalf of the Lodge, it is Don’s 90th birthday.
• The Master presented a new video introduction to Gulf Beach Lodge which will air on our social media sites.
• Brandon Hagaman and Stanley Silverstein were elected to receive the Three Symbolic Degrees in Freemasonry.
