Taking off the flood barriers this morning and then getting Further Light from our R∴H∴ Cy Havron’s School of Instruction!

Flood barriers were put in place today out of an abundance of caution with the hurricane in the Gulf. It’s also good to practice the deployment.

Join us in congratulating our newest Fellow Craft Mason, Brother Tommy Martin, who was passed to the degree of Fellow Craft last night at Gulf Beach Lodge following a wonderful meal prepared by our Junior Warden’s lady Dee.

Great things going on at Gulf Beach Lodge – here are some highlights from last nights meeting.

• The brothers enjoyed a traditional Chicken and Yellow Rice meal prepared by our Lodge Chef, Br∴ Aron Zions.
• We welcomed first time visitor Br∴ Tom Walter from Pisgah Lodge in Indiana.
• Br∴ Charlie Fuller was elected into Dual Membership and congratulated.
• Br∴ David Johnson received his 40 year pin by his son, W∴ Steve Johnson.
• It was reported that over $500 has been donated to Bikes For Books in memory of Br∴ Bob Meeks.
• The craft donated $150 to the Scottish Rite Foundation Children’s Speech Charity in honor of our two newest Scottish Rite brothers, Marc Apgar and Chip Cahall.
• Masonic Education was provided by Br∴ Tom Walter on the rich history of Pisgah Lodge in Indiana.
• It was announced that we will hold a Fellow Craft degree next Thursday for Br∴ Tommy Martin.

It was a wonderful night of fellowship…come on out next week for the degree and charge up those Masonic batteries.

It was a beautiful day for a roadway cleanup. Gulf Beach Lodge was out getting it done.

Members of Gulf Beach Lodge visited Nitram Lodge tonight for fellowship and brotherhood. The tie that binds!

If it’s been a little while since you’ve made it to Lodge, we’d really enjoy seeing you again. Sometimes we all need to recharge our “Masonic batteries,” and spending an evening with your Brothers is a pretty good way to do it. Lodge is really about the people—the friendships, the conversations, the laughs, and the connection we share with one another. You are missed when you’re not there, and your presence really does make a difference. Things are good at the Lodge, and we’d just like to make them even better by having you there to enjoy it with us.

* We were honored to have two PDDGM’s as first time visitors, R∴W∴ Jack Hampton and R∴W∴ Francisco Moc

* The altar is draped in memory and honor of Brother Bob Meeks.

* The Building Committee reported on the following projects:

• Short Term:
  • Caulk and fill baseboards and trim downstairs.
  • Paint baseboard, trim and doors downstairs.
  • Install stair tread covers on lower stairwell.
  • Repair soffit.
  • Install floating shelves in Sec’s office.
  • Hang display case downstairs.
  • Replace ballast in light over coffee service.
  • Hang granite memorial plaque.
  • Empty totes containing kitchen pots and pans.
  • Sell 21 totes
  • Have upstairs carpet cleaned.
• Medium/Long Term
  • Paint exterior
  • Spruce up landscaping
  • Seal parking lot.

* The PR Committee Reported:

• Our Social Media Program ongoing

• Lodge event calendar
  • On the website, also upcoming events are posted on all social media platforms.

* The Lodge donated $150 to adopt Ms. Heather McShane’s Elementary School classroom at Starkey Elementary.

* R∴W∴ Hampton spoke on his run for the Grand South this year.

We paid our last tribute of affection to Brother Bob Meeks last night in presence of family and friends. His memory will live on.

Worshipful Tim Delaney (along with other sitting Masters) were honored at Tampa Scottish Rite tonight! Well deserved recognition.

Members of Gulf Beach Lodge, along with Masons from throughout the District, were proud to lend a helping hand at the Masonic Home of Florida, assisting with the relocation of residents into newly renovated rooms.

It was wonderful to see Brothers from across the District working side by side in support of our Masonic Home and its residents. Efforts like this help continue the beautification and improvement of this special place while demonstrating what Masonry is all about—Brotherhood, service, and coming together to do the good work of our Fraternity.

Today, Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge joined our community in honoring the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and all those forever affected by September 11, 2001.

May we always remember their courage, sacrifice, and service.

Congratulations to our newest Fellow Craft Mason, Brother Alejandro Pezzolano, who was Passed to the Degree of Fellow Craft on September 10th. Great job by Brother Dago Cruz who sat in the East for the first time and Brother Marc Apgar who sat in the West for the first time.

We were honored to have our District Deputy Grand Master, R∴W∴ Allen Norwich, in attendance.

We can’t leave out the wonderful meal that was prepared by our Lodge chef, Brother Aron Zions.

Here are pictures of our breakfast crew getting ready for today’s first monthly breakfast since Hurricane Helene. We had a great turnout and a well run meal. If you missed it, you can join us again on October 4th at 8:30am.

* We were honored to have DDGM, Allen Norwich and DI, Cy Havron in attendance.

* The altar was draped in memory and honor of Brother Bob Meeks.

* Brother Alejandro Pezzolano returned a stellar EA catechism.

* The Lodge voted to sponsor two residents for the Masonic Home.

* The Lodge donated $100 to the FF Steven Coakley Foundation

* Brother Russ Wood was recognized for his outstanding work as Chaplain.

* The Master was happy to announce that the Lodge is now back to 100% after the Hurricane floods in 2024.

* It was announced that we will hold our first monthly breakfast again this Sunday from 8:30am – 10:30am

* We will be attending the 9-11 Memorial at Patriot Park in Madeira Beach, meeting at 8:30am that day.

Brothers and Friends, continuing the legacy of Brother Jim Tizzano, we will be helping the City of Madeira Beach and the Coakley Foundation place American Flags for the 9-11 Memorial next week. We are meeting at Patriot Park (424 150th Avenue, Madeira Beach) at 8:45 AM on September 9th. Please let us know if you are able to assist.
