January 16th Meeting Highlights

Last night was the first meeting conducted by the 2025 officers and they did a great job. W∴ Buck Owens ran a very smooth and efficient meeting. Here are the highlights –

  • Everyone enjoyed a wonderful chicken and rice meal prepared by Br∴ Brian Marshall and his lady Dee.
  • The craft donated $150 to the Tampa Bay Association for Suicide Prevention in memory of Sgt. Jason Riquier a close friend of our Senior Warden.
  • The 2024 officers presented W∴ Bobby Burkett an apron case for his Past Master apron.
  • W∴ Bobby Burkett presented Br∴ Richard Hightower a Lodge t-shirt as he was under the weather at installation and not present to receive it with the other officers.
  • Br∴ David Marrs, Hurricane Recovery Project Manager, reported on the progress being made with the recovery and that things are moving forward.
  • W∴ Jeffrey Fincher of Star Lodge is acting as our General Contractor and made remarks about the progress being made.
  • Both Marrs and Fincher received a round of applause for the hard work they are doing to help us get back into our Temple.
  • St. Petersburg Lodge was thanked for making their building available to us during our recovery period and there was discussion about meeting with them to solidify a formal agreement until we can return to our Temple.
  • W∴ Owens reported on the SMMA (Suncoast Master Mason Assn) meeting this week and that Br∴ Tim Delaney (our Senior Warden) was installed as 2nd Vice President.
