October 16th Meeting Highlights


We had a wonderful evening of fellowship last night at our Lodge meeting. Here is what we did:

  • The brothers enjoyed a meal of chicken wings, mac-n-cheese, potato salad, drinks and dessert. 
  • A card was sent around for a brother’s wife who is having surgery this week.
  • A petition for affiliation was read.
  • R∴W∴ Knapp reported for the Hurricane Committee that the drywall sanding has been completed and thanked W∴ David Neville for the use of his professional sanding machine.
  • It was reported that the elevator repair company is waiting for a part to come in.
  • The next step for the members with the hurricane recovery will be the texturing of the walls the first week of November followed by the paint party.
  • Electric and AC work will be completed after the painting.
  • The craft approved the blocking in of the window in the Secretary’s office and kitchen for $2,658. Work will begin Monday.
  • R∴W∴ Knapp reported for the Bikes For Books program that the sample bike and sign were dropped at Seminole Elementary School.
  • Br∴ Al Yoder reported that the Thanksgiving Food Basket program is underway and a list of 10 families in need is in hand. He reported that Br∴ Jim Tizzano will be assisting him this year.
  • Br∴ Jim Tizzano reported that the flood barrier system installation has been completed and ready to deploy if needs be.
  • A resolution was accepted to sponsor a member in the Lifecare Plan at the Masonic Home.
  • The craft donated $150.00 to the Grand Lodge of Alaska to assist with damage caused by Typhoon Halong that hit the coast this week.
  • Br∴ Dan Kuhl presented Masonic Education on decorum in the Lodge room.
  • W∴ Buck Owens invited everyone to attend a fellowship night next Thursday at CM’s Place Billiards at 7:00pm
  • Everyone is invited to the Family Pot Luck and Halloween Trivia Night on Thursday October 30th at 6:30pm
